Tomoria is the amalgamated name for the relationship between Thomas Kang and Victoria Miyazaki.
History[]
Childhood[]
Tommy and Victoria met when Tom was ten and Victoria was eight, the two met when Rose and Juliet formed their friendship in Year Four. The two didn't really interact much outside of greeting each other of the playground and when visiting Juliet after school and they carried this mutual acquaintanceship all throughout their years at Primary School and Secondary School.
By influence of Rose's view of Tommy, for a large part of their childhood relationship she assumed he was pretty much an spoiled brat and simply just the annoying older brother of Juliet.
2015—2018[]
After Angeline's death,Tommy was one of the first few to contact Victoria and ask her how she was doing, she quickly dismissed his efforts with empty affirmations until he said he would "always be there for her to talk to," which she noted as something that would probably not happen. However, after a few months of things not getting better as the stress of handling her baby brother got to her she messaged Tommy on a whim, clearly not expecting to get something back until her phone pinged not only a minute later and the two started talking from there.
Victoria felt as though she could just fully unload when communicating with Tommy because she barely knew him, and she felt as though he couldn't judge because of this. The two quickly went from long paragraphs of texts to heartfelt phone calls to tearful meetings in the park at ten at night. Tommy was even there with Rose when Victoria got her diagnosis in 2016, supporting her through these important changes in her life.
Due to Tommy's comforting presence for Victoria she brought him into her friendship and the two continued to get closer, at one point claiming each other to be "best friends".
2019[]
On Valentine's Day 2019, Tommy and Victoria's friendship turned into something reminiscent of a friends with benefits relationship after the two shared a "friend" date and had sex. The two were quite satisfied with keeping their friendship as is but with occasional nights together, often helping with both of the stress they deal with but not making everything awkward.
The two told their friends after Mari caught the two together at Victoria's house. At first the girls' weren't sure how everything would work, not knowing how each other truly felt, but the two assured them that their friendship is secure as it is.
2020—present[]
On News Years 2020, the group held a party and Tommy and Victoria had unprotected sex to "celebrate the new year", quickly returning to the party to countdown into the new year with their friends and family. It was from that moment on that Tommy started to see Victoria in a romantic light, quick to hide his feelings from Victoria.
In March, after experiencing strong nausea and more fatigue than usual, what she thought was just her depression, Victoria found out she was pregnant after not noticing her missing periods and taking a test. Although she was supported greatly by her father and friends, Victoria was largely conflicted about whether or not she should keep the baby. She told Tommy rather quickly, a week after she found out, and he took it extremely well. Despite his university career being well underway and both their futures still uncertain he assured Victoria that he will be happy to raise this baby with her or support her in whatever decision she chooses.
The two went together to Victoria's first scan, alongside Victoria's dad, in April. From there on, after hearing their baby's heartbeats they fell in love with their child and decided to keep it. Their relationship went through several ups and downs over the course of Victoria's pregnancy as Victoria started living part time with the Kangs. When Sunhee, Tommy's mother, suggested that the two should think about getting married before the baby arrived Victoria was quick to put down the idea, stating that they're just friends, to which Sunhee responded with a statement of how Tommy has had a crush on her for so long — Tommy quickly trying to shut her up. Later that night, the two talked about it and Tommy confesses and says he just wants them to be a happy family, however, Vic says that she doesn't want to ruin their friendship and they can still have that happy life. It wasn't until the baby kicked later that night that they ceased their arguing over the topic.
Towards the end of her pregnancy, Vic started to realise that she did like Tommy a lot more than she initially thought she did and by the time the eight hour labour was over she was overwhelmed with love for both her new baby and, surprisingly, Tommy. Together they both named their child Naomi Yumi Kang and whilst holding her together Victoria confessed her love for Tommy, stating that they will always be a happy family.
